November 21st 2008 10:11
Gamer Herald fans rejoice - The Xbox 360 is a definite Christmas present.

Just noticed this deal on GAME.com.au:

60 GB Xbox 360 console
Lego Indiana Jones (great game)
Kung Fu Panda (shite game)
GEARS OF WAR 2 OR FABLE II

Check this deal out!

All for $399.

That's cranking ridiculous. I want a second console just for the sake of it! Can anyone better this deal with another?

EA's Wii Fit Rip-Off

November 13th 2008 18:08

Hey, at least it's cheaper.

Retailing at $59.99 (that's a good 30 duckets less than Wii-Fit), EA Sports ACTIVE will launch in March 2009. The game will NOT include a balance board peripheral like that which accompanied Wii-Fit, but instead will include a rubber strapped holster to hold the controllers, attaching them to the players body to free up movement.

EA Sports Active Wii Fit

Peter Moore, president of EA Sports (known best for "Madden NFL") promises the game will give players the kind of workout Wii-Fit never could.

"Wii Fit -- its not really a western style philosophy of cardiovascular exercise," says Moore, "You've got more of a classic eastern style of balance and coordination. We're bringing with EA Sports Active a more Western philosophy to exercise, which is about getting your heart rate up, keeping it there and sweating."

Check out some gameplay below:

Dragon Ball Origins DS

Did you like The Legend of Zelda: The Phantom Hourglass? Well then chances are you'll enjoy Atari's newest action adventure game for the DS.

Much like the touch screen controls from Phantom Hourglass, dragging the stylus across the screen controls movement, while quick swipes will execute attacks. Check out this trailer for a taste of Dragon Ball Origins' combat:

The game may not be as expansive as your typical Zelda adventure, but for fans of the genre it serves as the perfect holdover for those hungy for Hyrule.
