Sony PS3 Hacks

January 14th 2011 02:51
Ok Gamers,

So I have been reading all these articles on the internet about these hackers trying to break the code or having broken the code for the PS3 and basically telling Sony to try and stop them. Well I read today that Sony is going after the hackers. Sony is going to be suing them and placed a restraining order to protect the system.

These two sides will be going at it for a long time. The hackers have claimed to have broken the code and Sony has said they have not. I dont know who is telling the tructh but what I do know is that I just want to game. I have been a gamer since I was five years old, when I was at my uncles wedding I was the ring barer and when it was time to give them the ring I was at the arcade machine trying to play Pac-Man.

I just want to play the best games, it really does not matter what kind of security the system has. As long as there are no viruses involved and everybody can just calm down and lets just enjoy games as we know them. Lets see what the future will hold for both parties in this situation.

Stay tuned to the Gamer Herald for further details on this subject and others in the video game industry.

Big December for Xbox

January 14th 2011 02:28
Gamers,

Gaming has become one of the biggest industries as technology begins to grow. The holidays were great for the video game industry especially for Microsoft. According to the company in the month of December, the Xbox 360 sold 1.9 million units. This has been the largest volume of sales for Microsoft since entering the video game world.

The console has been reached by 50 million users while 30 million have an active Xbox Live account. That is alot of gamers that have been connected and tuned into the hottest games on the market. Along with the Xbox 360, the Kinect has made its own strides as it has sold up to 8 million units in its first 60 days of release.

December has been the biggest one month haul in the Xbox history, which has been a long time coming. The battle between Sony and Microsoft has seen it shares of ups and downs. This is no different as the Kinect has hit households running and the Playstation Move has been slow moving. I believe that the Playstation Move will hit its stride but it will take time.

Some of the biggest games that the Xbox saw this past holiday season were Call of Duty: Black Ops and Assassins Creed. I have to say that Call of Duty is a great game and it is a big hit among online gamers including myself.

So gamers stay tuned to the Gamer Herald as we will bring the hottest releases for next week and coming soon our review of Call of Duty: Black Ops.

Good Afternoon Gamers,

OK so word is that EA is making big changes to the cover of Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2012. The cover will not feature Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2012: The Masters. The title has also included The Masters. The game will focus more on the Masters Tournament than Tiger Woods. EA has stated that Tiger will remain the flagship leader of the franchise but this year they are trying to focus more on the Masters Tournament.
