Buzz, the quirky quiz master makes his next-gen debut
Everyone's favourite cheeky game show host Buzz! goes next-gen today, with Sony Computer Entertainment Australia proud to present Buzz! Quiz TV on Playstation 3.
The latest addition to the best selling Buzz! franchise features brand new wireless buzzers and vast downloadable and user-generated content.
Buzz! Quiz TV for PS3 brings the quiz show to life in everybody's living room with the Blu-ray disc as the starting point. With 5,000 questions divided into five channels, there's something for every quiz fanatic to choose from: The Music Channel; The Movies and TV Channel; The Sports Channel; The Knowledge Channel; and The Lifestyle Channel.
But, as Buzz himself would say, 'there's plenty more Buzzy goodness where that came from!'. The PS3 title has an array of new features including downloadable content from the Playstation Network, all new 'channel hopper' mode to mix up all your questions with downloaded content and the opportunity to create your own quizzes online through the all new MyBuzz and then play them in the Buzz! studio or share them with the wider Buzz! community.
On top of all of that, the new Sofa Vs Sofa online multiplayer gaming feature means you can tee up a game with your Buzz! rivals whenever you want; set up your own game and face off with exactly who you want. It's your chance to take on your friends and show them who the real Buzz! champion is.
One of the standout features of Buzz! Quiz TV are the new Buzz! wireless buzzers that can be purchased with the game. These new peripherals allow up to eight trivia buffs to go head to head in the same room on Buzz! Quiz TV.
The wireless buzzers are also backwards compatible with previous bestselling Buzz! titles on PS2 such as Buzz! The Pop Quiz, Buzz! The Hollywood Quiz and Buzz! The Music Quiz, amongst others.
With Buzz's move onto PS3, he brings with him his trademark wit, quiz show charm and all around panache that has brought him fans from all over Australia. With well over 500,000 units of software and more than 300,000 buzzers sold in Australia, Buzz! has become a household name for quiz show lovers.
Kendall Bascetta, Software Product Manager at SCE Aust. says that with Buzz now stepping out onto the next-gen PS3, fans of the popular game can become even more involved by creating their own content.
