Dualshock 3 controller arrives for Playstation 3
PS3 lovers will finally feel some good vibrations when Sony launches the long awaited Dualshock 3 wireless controller next Thursday, 24 April.
The highly sensitive Sixaxis motion sensing technology will be joined by retro rumbling, allowing gamers to feel each hit, crash and explosion through the palm of their hand.
For just $99.95 - What? How much?
Sony definitely aren't saying 'sorry' for making Playstation 3 users wait so long for some good vibes.
The $100 price tag seems extreme and some gamers might not be able to justify turfing their original Sixaxis to the dust-collection cabinet for a new Dualshock 3.
The new controller is wireless, and each action button will be pressure sensitive, but even an endless list of features can't escape the big bucks required to get a piece of the action.
For those not wanting to part with the moolah, there is another, somewhat cunning, option. Visit www.playasia.com and purchase the new Dualshock 3 for around $65.
Add $4 for postage and a week or so waiting for the courier to come knocking, and you may as well visit the store and just pay credit.
New Zealand gamers will have to wait until 9 May before getting their grubby hands on a shiny new shake and rumble controller.
