Good Evening Gamers,
Well since the motion controller movement began we have seen some great numbers. Microsoft has now joined in the success, since the launch of the Kinect it has sold over 1 million units worldwide. Microsoft has said that the Kinect is well on its way to surpass its estimated sales of five million by the end of the year.
I actually saw a demo of the Kinect at Best Buy this past weekend. I have to say I was really impressed by it. Its more like a sensor than an actual controller. You have to calibrate your movements with the sensor before you can use the controller. It has great range in the sensor, I was standing a couple of feet away from the sensor it still could pick up my movements.
It has been a great start for the Kinect and Playstation Move and it looks like it will continue to grow. The popularity of the motion controller movement will continue to grow and it looks like yours truly will actually step into this realm. Stay tuned to see if I will take my turn at the motion controller.
