Metal Gear Online public beta available on PSN
April 19th 2008 13:29
A FREE and downloadable open beta of Metal Gear Online is now available on the Australian Playstation Store.
Using the same technology that is fueling the Metal Gear Solid's forthcoming single player experience, Guns of the Patriots, Metal Gear Online is now in public beta stage and will be live from 21 April until 6 May.
The beta includes training modes so you can hone your skills before hitting what should be a competitive online community.
Metal Gear Solid, developed by Konami, first made a name for itself on the PSOne and has since been considered the premier stealth-action game, critically acclaimed for not just its gameplay, but also its storyline.
So it will be interesting to see this coming week just how the online incarnation of a stealth game shapes up, given the linear focus of its single player brethren.
Go forth, faithful gamers, and download the MGO demo. I'll see you online.
