Good Morning Gamers,
Well it looks like the first reports of the holiday season are starting to come out. Nintendo seems to be the first with there sales to be reported. It looks really good for the Nintendo brand. Nintendo has said that its DS handheld system has topped 47 million units. While the Nintendo Wii console became the first system to top 7 million units in three straight years.
Now 2010 was a sort of an up and down year for Nintendo. During its April through September half year sales were reported 24.5 loss, the giant was able to close out the year on a high note. The Nintendo DS has become the "best selling video game console" in the nation with its sales reaching the 47 million units. That includes the original DS (2004), DS Lite (2006), DSi Lite (2009), and DSi XL (2010).
The second part of 2010 was a great success for he Nintendo Wii as well. In the US alone the Nintendo Wii has sold over 7 million in the year. According to Nintendo the Wii has sold more than 34 million units in the US alone. Now the report also states that the Nintendo Wii has sold more than 76 million units world wide.
