Good Afternoon Gamers,
Ok so the numbers are in for Call of Duty: Black OPS. In its first day of sales for the franchise, the game sold 5.6 million copies. In turn that generated in about 360 million dollars in just 24 hours of being on the shelf. That says alot about this franchise and its popularity among the gaming community.
The franchise actually saw an increase in the sales from last years Modern Warfare 2 first day release. According to Activision there has never been a franchise that has set a first day sales record two years in a row. They are also on their way to surpass their five day sales goal that they predicted. This franchise has worked hard to get to this point. The franchise has developed to be part of American culture and that is what contributes to the success of the game.
Treyarch's latest release is deemed to be the best in the franchise's history. With millions of gamers online and the game setting the bar up a level for multiplayer, I don't see any let up from this franchise.
